This hands-on institute will be facilitated by classroom teachers and other experts with teaching expertise who share a commitment to equity-based teaching and advocacy. You will work together in community with other educators to achieve the following outcomes:

- explore research on the impact of trauma on the body and the brain
- acquire practical, evidence-based classroom strategies that are geared toward developing trauma resilience in students
- develop tools and practices to help you tend to your own healing and to mitigate the burnout that develops when teachers prioritize the needs of others over our own well-being
