summer youth Programs

2021 dates soon to be announced!

Summer 2021 will mark our 17th year of immersive creative  workshops for elementary, middle school, and high school writers! For the safety of students and staff due to COVID-19, this year's workshops will again be offered in a "low-tech, no-tech" format.

Approximately one week before the workshop, students will be mailed Writer’s Toolkits, complete with a journal and other writing supplies, a t-shirt, and even snacks. In the online portion of the workshop, students will participate in writing activities with the whole group, learn from published writers, and break out into small, supervised writing communities. In the offline portion of the workshop, they will use their Writer’s Toolkits to experiment with writing techniques and hands-on exercises used by published writers.

COST: $150  -- This is a $50 discount from our usual on-campus workshops!
(A limited number of  scholarships will be offered on a sliding scale, based on  financial need. Contact CSUWP Director, Cindy O'Donnell-Allen for more information.)
